So, Who is Greg?
You may notice there are both art and engineering projects on my portfolio. This combination reflects who I am and how I create; my engineering feeds into my art and my art feeds into my engineering.
My process of creating both engineered projects and art can best be described as a strange game of hopscotch from one medium to another. I use everything from 3D printing, laser cutting, and machining to welding, glasswork, and blacksmithing.
As new methods of engineering are created, it opens new opportunities for art as well. In my own experience, I’ve been able to create complex sculptures that can only be manufactured through the use of 3D printing. This intersection of engineering and art is where I produce my work.
